Title: Motion Control and Hilco Quality Manager


The Motion Control and Hilco Quality Manager shall be responsible for the following duties which shall include but not be limited to the following:


Core Competencies:


  1. Must have ability to manage personnel in effective professional manner with the goal of developing staff.
  2. Must be computer literate in MS Office Suite, AS400 and Infor is a plus.
  3. Must have a complete understanding of Quality Management Systems to include ISO 9001.


Responsible for, but not limited to:


  1. Ensure compliance with all elements of the Quality Management System, which includes ISO and ASME. 
  2. Directing activities of Quality Engineers, Calibration Technicians, Inspectors and Auditors of all Motion Control and Hilco locations.
  3. Work with engineering to develop inspection and sampling techniques, as well as quality control plans
  4. Develops, Implements, Audits and approves all Standard work for all subordinates in the Quality Department.
  5. Statistical analysis when appropriate - for internal and supplier feedback.
  6. Quality System Administration- Ensuring organizational compliance and implementation of the following (but not limited to):
  • NCR's & MRB activity, including control and disposition of Non-Conforming Material
  • Customer complaint investigation and follow-ups.
  • Corrective actions and risk management
  • Root Cause analysis & problem solving techniques
  1. Will be required to interact and conduct on-site visits with both Customers, and Suppliers worldwide.
  2. Work with the Director of purchasing for the management and performance of the supply chain including supplier metrics
  3. Work with suppliers on risk assessment and contingency plans
  4. Generates SOPs, Standard Work, ECRs, and other necessary documentation to comply with the Quality Management System.
  5. Collaborate with management and front line staff to achieve quality results
  6. Track, record, and maintain Quality data
  7. Any additional activities necessary to support the Quality Management System or the Manufacturing Departments as directed by the Director of Operational Excellence and the Plant Manager.



  1. BS Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  2. A Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management position.
  3. Quality certification required. If candidate does not have a quality certification, it must be achieved within the first year of employment. 
  4. Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  5. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to engage a cross functional team towards a desired outcome.
  6. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including an emphasis on safety.
  7. Ability to work independently and in a team, oriented collaborative environment.
  8. Accept direction and projects from the Director of Operational Excellence.
  9. Maintain cooperative and open communication with all personnel and departments.
  10. Occasional travel required.
  11. Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.
  12. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
